August 23, 2018 – Ducker Worldwide (Ducker), a Frontier Strategy Group (FSG) company, formally announced today that Stephen Majors has joined the firm as Director, Healthcare Practice. Majors will work out of the company headquarters in Washington, D.C., and will be an essential contributor to the company’s healthcare practice. He’ll represent key service offerings, including geographic market intelligence, growth consulting, customer intelligence, M&A targeting, and commercial diligence services.
“As a combined company, Ducker and FSG will provide a unique, holistic offering that brings together tailored client solutions with analysis of the political, economic, social, and technological forces that are disrupting the business environment,” said Majors. “Healthcare and life sciences companies seek growth opportunities amid a challenging environment of rapid consolidation, market-access barriers, and cost-containment efforts. I look forward to leveraging the firm’s quantitative and qualitative capabilities, industry expertise, and developed and emerging market experience to help clients choose the best pathways to growth.”
Majors has spent more than seven years in senior positions, focusing on business development and managing relationships with new clients in the North American healthcare sector. Prior to joining the firm, Majors led Eurasia Group’s business development and client service efforts across the value chain for the healthcare sector in North America, leveraging the full range of the firm’s political risk and sector consulting offerings. In addition, he covered healthcare policy as a political and statehouse reporter for the Associated Press in Ohio and Florida. In 2010-2011, Majors authored a blog sponsored by the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland that analyzed the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism with a double major in Political Science from Northwestern University, as well as a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy.
“We are excited to be expanding our coverage across the healthcare vertical by bringing Stephen on board,” said Richard Leggett, CEO. “Through years of work across the top 100 global healthcare companies, we have developed incredibly strong understanding of the industry trends, drivers, and business implications in their markets. Stephen’s experience, combined with our growth-oriented solutions, expertise, and healthcare-specific assets, will lead to significant growth for the company and our clients.”
“Stephen is a key addition to our team,” said Joanne Ulnick, Managing Principal, Ducker Worldwide. “We are committed to growing our Healthcare Practice, and view Stephen’s appointment as key to our success in achieving our strategic objectives. His wealth of experience and industry knowledge is impressive, and complements our ethos of serving clients with unparalleled strategic services to accelerate and bring certainty to clients’ growth planning. We are excited about working with Stephen, and are confident he will play a key role in providing high-quality solutions for our clients.”
Majors’ appointment is just one component of the company’s dedicated efforts to enhance its healthcare offering. Last week, for example, FSG added over 100 new healthcare-related indicators to its award-winning FrontierData database, including more granular demographic indicators and breakdowns of health expenditure data, to help clients in market prioritization and market-sizing engagements in every region of the world. The company will make additional announcements about the healthcare practice in September.
